Miamiwilds

Current Site

The 27.5-acre Miami Wilds is being built in the paved parking areas at Zoo Miami. All plans for Miami Wilds will continue to be subject to Miami-Dade County review and approval including but not limited to environmental, traffic, and other impacts. Indeed, because Miami-Dade County owns the land upon which Miami Wilds is being built, the County retains approval rights both in its capacity as regulator and as owner of the property.

Miami Wilds Plan

The Miami Wilds attractions lie entirely outside protected natural areas, but are being designed to increase awareness of the nearby ecosystem and foster a greater appreciation for South Dade’s natural resources. Miami Wilds seeks to create a carefully managed development that will protect the nearby area and its unique ecosystem.
